Law students and graduates interested in criminal justice research and human rights have an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience through the Project 39A Internship offered by National Law University (NLU), Delhi. About Project 39A
Project 39A is a research and litigation initiative housed within NLU Delhi that focuses on improving the criminal justice system in India. Named after Article 39A of the Constitution of India, the project undertakes empirical research, policy analysis, and pro bono litigation on issues affecting justice delivery.
Its major areas of work include legal aid, torture prevention, forensic science, mental health and criminal justice, and death penalty litigation and research.
About the Internship
Project 39A invites applications from motivated students who wish to contribute to meaningful research and litigation initiatives. Interns work closely with the team on live projects related to criminal justice and human rights.

Forensic Science, especially DNA Forensics
Legal Aid in the Criminal Justice System
Mental Health and Criminal Justice

Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from students enrolled in recognised undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in:

Other relevant disciplines (considered on merit)
Both Indian and international students are eligible to apply.
